Sumireko Usami is a recurring character who appears in both My Life in Gensokyo and Side Stories. A recent High School graduate (and first president of the Secret Sealing Club, which would see a resurgence thanks to her granddaughter, Renko) who has to live a double-life between both the Outside World and Gensokyo. Though, by the time the events of the series properly begin, she's managed to master this life and now lives somewhat comfortably (well... as comfortably as a homeless person can be...)

Enjoys newer forms of technology and internet culture (Essentially a Zoomer) and uses a social media called "Bulletstagram"

Sumireko is equal parts smart, determined, passionate, and egotistical. At worst, she's outright self-destructive, being extremely headstrong when the situation calls for it. Despite this, she's usually quite chill, friendly, and genuinely very respectful of Gensokyo.

Works part time at Kourindou.
