MainSpring Rays: The Power
FlynntheVA for Game character: Narrator/Main Hero
The game is based on life of a russian immigrant [the author], wrapped in surreal metaphors on a fantasy-like word building base. Little melancholic story about everyday life horrors, with hopeful message
In the game you - player (the main hero), lead small group of refugees to Light, through world which falls to darkness
The Narrator + Main hero role details
Main focus of the game is accessibility and it effects this role especially
The Narrator calmly and softly, but, with a note of melancholy, describes scene surroundings [lines are also written in game interface], storyline elements and, actions of characters. Like in audiobook.
The Narrator voice actor has biggest lines count
Main hero is small refugees group leader. The character is, basically, burned to dust shape-shifting smoke cloud, in preferred form of some gothis-like creature with horns and half hidden face. The character was burned out [in this setting - literally] and don't have any memories of life, besides feeling of still-flaming heart.
Their lines could be silent as in many rpg with silent main hero, but - accessibility. Blind people need to be able to get this part of in-game text, so. I keeping that "silent character lines = you read it in your voice in your head" effect with merging narrator and main hero roles + it's my idea of how to make it in accessible way

(The Narrator) "World is a Hell of a place. Was it always like this? Probably. Realization just takes time. But you’re not the only one who enlightened…"
(The Narrator + Main hero line) "You say, enthusiastically 'Yeah, let's hurry up and leave this forest quickly! Because if I will get in another spider trAP-'. [spider trap sound]. You got in another spider trap, and now you jumping around trying to get it off your face."
