Video Editor for Cosmic Chaos (13+ Animated Series)

Role:

We are looking for a talented video editor to help bring together the animated sequences of Cosmic Chaos. The editor will be responsible for assembling the animated scenes, sound design, voice acting, music, and visual effects into a cohesive and engaging show. You will work closely with the animation team, sound designers, and director to ensure that each episode flows seamlessly, with a focus on pacing, emotional impact, and overall visual appeal.

The show features dynamic action scenes, emotional character-driven moments, and a variety of different environments. We’re looking for a video editor who can match the visual energy of the show while ensuring the story remains clear and engaging for viewers.

What We Are Looking For:

Video Editing Skills:

We need someone who can take raw animation files, voice recordings, sound effects, and music to create a polished final product. The video editor will be responsible for the pacing, flow, and continuity of the show, ensuring the episode runs smoothly from start to finish.

Experience with Animation and Post-production:

Experience working with animated content, especially 2D or hybrid 2D animation, is highly desirable. You will need to edit together action sequences, dialogue scenes, and musical cues in a way that reflects the style and tone of the show.

Sound Synchronization:

The ability to sync voice acting, sound effects, and music with the animation is crucial. You’ll be ensuring the dialogue matches the character’s lip movements, adding sound effects to actions, and timing the background score to enhance emotional beats.

Special Effects and Transitions:

The show will feature several magical and tech-based special effects. The video editor should be capable of integrating effects like glowing tech, energy blasts, and other visual elements seamlessly with the animation.

Pacing and Timing:

The editor should be familiar with the nuances of pacing, ensuring that fast-paced action scenes maintain excitement and that emotional moments are given room to breathe. It’s important to have a good feel for the timing of both silent moments and dialogue-heavy exchanges.

Ideal Skills for the Video Editor:

Proficiency in Video Editing Software:

The editor should be skilled with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video editing software. Experience with Adobe After Effects or Blender for creating and integrating simple visual effects is a plus.

Audio Editing and Syncing:

Experience with audio editing software like Audacity or Adobe Audition is helpful. The editor will be expected to ensure the voice acting, sound effects, and music are all synchronized perfectly with the visuals.

Creative Storytelling:

The ability to edit in a way that enhances the storytelling and builds a compelling narrative. This includes selecting the best shots, managing pacing, and ensuring emotional beats are effectively conveyed.

Experience with Animation:

Prior experience working with animation or animated series is ideal. Familiarity with how animated content flows and understanding the intricacies of frame rates, motion, and cut transitions is essential.

Sample Demo Line:
