You make an AMAZING bedtime story reader 🥲

Nice read! I could tell you were working on the enunciation and articulation. Good energy in your read.

0:16 Couldn't hear the "T" in "night" - be sure the ends of the words don't drop out when you are practicing articulation. Same with the "T" in "different" at 0:21 and the "T" in "got" at 0:28, etc.

0:38 Good job with the flub and restarting the sentence - it's best to restart at the beginning of the sentence or section with flubs because it's hard to piece together a fix into the middle of a sentence! Just be cautious of putting too much power in your pick-up (such as at 1:03) as it still may not match the flow from your last line when the flub is removed. Try to keep the same energy and tone in your read when doing pick-ups.

Be aware of plosives during recording. Talk past the microphone at an angle and not directly into the mic. Have the mic input facing your mouth but offset. Having a pop filter/shield can help to an extent with reducing plosives as well. You can also try doing a cut and fade in, and/or lowering the volume/amplitude at the plosives during editing.

1:05 Be careful of staccato/rhythmic reading as it can break up the flow of the read and take the listener out of the story. Noted again at 1:20.

Good variation and dynamics in the read in general.

Overall, I think this was a very good solid read. Keep practicing and keep up the good work! You will see results!

Thank you for the tips on articulation regarding the “T” sounds. I will concentrate on those details in my practice. Your pick-up insights are helpful, and I’ll focus on keeping the same energy and tone.

Thanks for your encouragement! I’m excited to keep improving and will continue practicing.
