Class Session 2
Harvey Quezada for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Nice read! I could tell you were putting effort into practicing the articulation and enunciation and the read came across with a lot of confidence.
Some humble observations:
In some areas where you read a little faster, the enunciation and articulation dropped off and became less clear. For example:
0:05 "night before bed"
0:39 "started drawing animals again"
The ends of words will often get left off or end with a soft sound, so when you are practicing articulation make sure the full word is pronounced. For example, 0:05 the "T" in night wasn't really fully pronounced.
0:00 "Peter" - the "T" sounds more like a "D". Just something to be mindful of when practicing articulation to make sure that the "T" and "D" sounds are different.
0:02 "little" make sure to hit the "T" sounds when practicing articulation.
For enunciation and articulation practice you will want to be sure you are reading at a pace that will allow you to say all of the words and syllables clearly and completely. The reason we practice enunciation and articulation and even exaggerate while practicing these is so it gets our minds and mouths used to not being lazy when we speak, which is very important with voice acting to ensure we are clearly heard and understood. That's why people pay for professional voice overs! :D
0:53 This was one of the sections I felt were well enunciated and articulated parts in your read! Good job.
Overall this was a strong read! In another take, I'd encourage you to play a bit more with the read - throw in some variation, dynamics and energy to bring the script to life even further. Keep practicing the clear articulation and enunciation. You will see results! Keep up the good work!
Alright thank you!
