Soichiro is a main character in death note and is lights dad, he is also the chief of the police department, and a member of the Kira task force he is a older man who has a strong belief in justice and thinks what Kira is doing is wrong. the whole joke at the start of the episode is that he's the only competent police officer in the office and everyone else are idiots. not many lines this episode but will be more prominent later
