Dice is one of Staramy's friends she interacts with. They met eachother when him and Melvin were in a restaurant, until they had to run away from the waiter, because Melvin couldn't find his wallet at the time.
After Staramy saved their lives by throwing Melvin's wallet to the waiter during a windy day, they've all decided to stay at Melvin's house for a while and properly introduce themselves.
The reason why Dice was given this name, because his family would always have to be in extremely dicey situations. Meaning that they have poor luck. Because 200 years ago, one of Dice's ancestors have accidentally spilled water on a mage that creates hexes, in a fancy ballroom. So she decided to put a hex on him, and it later spread on the rest of his family.
The only way to weaken the curse, is to gain as much money as possible. So they won't have to be some unlucky anymore, from what Dice observed.
It's not always easy for Dice to make friends. Most of his former friends protected him from bullies that tried to hurt him, because they thought he was a nerd, for him not being very social. One of his friend's parents passed away. The others have moved out of their homes, because they didn't like the city Dice used to be in.
“Ok. Now that we're all in my room, I can introduce you to the two of us. I’m Dice, I sell merchandise and I’m harshly greedy.”
