Mikan was Asahi's childhood friend supposedly, who also runs the school's newspaper, and has a pair of talking glasses...please stick with me. Mikan is pretty much a psychopath, enjoys picking on and bullying Asahi, taking genuine pleasure in his suffering, she's extremely over the top, but when something peaks her interests, she reels in and focuses on that, being the only one at the school to notice the weird things going on around it. She'll be a minor antagonist in the first couple episodes.

This character is a bit of a mess so here's what I added and changed about her character:

-  Mikan was Asahi's childhood friend, but when Asahi accidently spills an embarrassing secret of hers, she ended that friendship, and since then Mikan has made it her mission to make Asahi miserable. This gives her an actual believable reason for her behavior, and actions.

-  So Mikan has a pair of glasses that talk, so the glasses a possessed by a spirit who also takes pleasure in suffering Mikan causes, helping Mikan with her antics. Mikan despises the spirit, but can't bring herself to destroy the glasses since they were a gift from Asahi.

- Mikan no longer has a crush Asahi and will just be a friend
