Insectarium - Chapter 1
MickMegs for Linda Cohen
Linda Cohen is a woman in her mid 40s. The surgical procedures used to attach the extra set of legs to her body messed with her mind enough to render her animalistic. She appears beyond Chapter 1, but I can reuse the noises recorded (with your permission).
Normal voice lines (as in, dialogue), will also be needed much later on. But, if any issues arise from having to do those (you aren't great at doing regular voice lines, scheduling issues, etc), I can hire another person to do the dialogue. Of course, this is not the preferred option.
Try not to think of this role as an animal role, but rather as a human role. The vocal cords haven't changed, just the mind behind them. She should sound like she's both in physical and mental pain. Keep in mind that her mouth cannot close.
During your audition, please stay away from grunts. Mostly due to it being physically impossible for her to perform a grunt (for you need your mouth to be closed), but also because I want to see your creativity in creature noises.

(Your Choice)
Good evening,
I actually liked your audition quite a bit! It's just personally not what I'm looking for. I especially liked the pitch of voice you used.
However, if I can make a minor critique, I feel like the audition was a little too long. Which I'm a lot happier about than an audition that was too short, but in a noise-based role like this, it can get a little long. If you were trying to show different interpretations of each listed noise, I would have suggested making some type of separation. Either doing the full audition with one interception then restarting with another, or add something to distinguish. Or else it blends together.
That being said, I still liked it from a skill-perspective! And I would much rather a clearly passionate audition than something that I can barely grasp the skill of the performer. This critique was not the reason for you not getting the role and it's not a very heavy critique either.
I wish you good luck and hope you find good work!
Thank you for the feedback, this was fun to do, and I will take this into consideration for the future.
