Joanne is the character in "Adopted by Vampires" who undergoes the most significant redemption arc. She grows tremendously as a person throughout the story. Initially, she is portrayed as the villain but she begins to open her heart when she meets Ethan. Her transformation isn't limited to her relationship with him; she also reconnects with her family.  When Ethan dies, Joanne becomes lost and as a result of her grief, they have no choice but to place her into a magical sleep. After years of slumber, she eventually calms down and allows herself to grieve until she receives a sign that Ethan can be brought back. When she successfully resurrects him, they have their wedding, marking a major moment in her journey.  Despite her remarkable redemption arc, Joanne still exhibits unpredictable behavior. She is sassy, dramatic, and even Ethan finds himself scared of her at times. She is not a character you want to mess with. In this series, her children drive her to the brink of insanity, and it becomes a real challenge for her to maintain her composure.
