Major / / Wearing a rooster mask, Richard is one of three 'inner voices' which manifest during the protagonist's coma-induced dream sequences. He is the protagonist's harbinger of truth, regularly provoking him into recalling pre-coma memories. He is cold and enigmatic, asking many questions and offering few answers. I imagine him to possess a psychologist's indifference.

Before you go, here’s four questions to ponder. Question number one: Do you like hurting other people? Question number two: Who is leaving messages on your answering machine? Question number three: Where are you right now? And final question: Why are we having this conversation?
(Context: the protagonist has lost his sense of compassion and reason. Don Juan and Rasmus have disappeared, leaving only Richard.) Looks like it’s only you and me left now… I’m sure you know by now that this won’t end well.
