Edmund is an eccentric half-elf who has a love for magic and the supernatural. He is incredibly intelligent and has a thirst for knowledge - a thirst that may never be quenched. That thirst has a habit of getting him into trouble more often than not. Though he's an eager intellectual, his excitement is rarely shown in his voice, as he tends to speak rather dryly and is generally pretty serious about most things - yet it's almost a paradox how he has a habit of making light of especially serious situations. Most of the time he speaks in a fairly serious tone, but he sometimes let's his excitement slip through when speaking about something of particular interest. But when he does express himself, it's usually when he thinks something is really cool, or when he's genuinely surprised. Edmund is basically a masking autistic (passes as neurotypical).

Edmund should sound like a young adult with a General British accent, though any other UK accent is acceptable. He wants the listeners to feel like every word he says is important and his tone should reflect that.

Voices to use for reference would be Johnathan Simms from "The Magnus Archives", Wheatley from "Portal 2", and Tim Stoker from "The Magnus Archives".

Think Mr. Fox from from "Fantastic Mr. Fox" but British (inflection and enunciation). Although, if you want to do an American accent, this would be the best reference for that.
