This role is always open!
For characters with temporary appearances including: normal citizens, family members, criminals, police officers, members of street gangs such as The Spades, The Diamonds, The Hearts, The Clubs as well as victims and accomplices of the villain.
On the odd occasion, I may decide that you'd be fit for a bigger role and will discuss this with you.
Feel free to take creative liberties with the lines and even use some from the other roles, really go all out with the tone, wording and accents, I'm interested in hearing what you've got!
A joke? No, no, no. I have every intent to kill you, believe me. I just want to take my time, after all, I think you'll agree you're quite undeserving of a swift death.
Aw come on, it's a harmless prank! Don't be like that, I'm not always...well, alright, but you have to admit, it's funny! No? Ugh, kill joy.
We've analysed the notes right down to the ink, sir, every office in the town has a printer that uses it. There's no way to—...you want us to ask everyone who owns the printer if they're the anonymous informant? Oh...you're joking. Our cameras? No, the security team were unable to identify any irregular activity. [sigh] I'll check, sir. Excuse me.
You sound the most confident doing these lines I feel, again they seem to come to you naturally. Your pacing and inflections help form your emotive tones which sound good, this was a great audition just be mindful of the quality of the audio! I might be able to edit it if I were to get lines from you, but it might hold you back on other projects (specifically the static and reverb).

Yeah, I realize what I’m currently using isn’t perfect, but it’s very simple to use so I’ve stuck with it. I’m not sure how to permanently get rid of the static problem, and I’m living on a tight budget so it’s not like I can easily buy something else to use. I appreciate all the helpful tips and giving me multiple opportunities to try again with getting something for this project, even if it’s all in vain.

I completely understand, don't worry, and I genuinely appreciate the willingness to keep trying - it's a good trait to have especially on the voice acting scene! Do you mind if I ask what you're using currently? There may be ways to make the audio cleaner!
I’m using a website that allows me to record my voice and easily make the recording an mp3 file. I think my laptop has an internal mic because I don’t actually have a physical mic on me, yet my laptop is able to hear my voice pretty well. I’m not sure if the static is caused by the site I’m using or my laptop itself, I could see it being either one
Do you have a phone by any chance? Or would you be able to access one just for the purpose of recording your lines? The quality may not be perfect but I think it'll beat your laptop or the website you're using
I do indeed own an iPhone! I believe there is an audio recorder app that you get as a default app, is there another better app you recommend I use?
Awesome possum, try 'Dolby On' or 'MOTIVE Audio' if they're available, the latter is created by Shure I believe who also develop microphones - I've not used them myself so I can't speak on how easy it is to edit audio or how good it will be but it's worth a shot!

One question: the website I mentioned earlier was able to convert my recordings into an mp3 file that I could put in my folder on my laptop. Does MOTIV allow me to the same thing?
I've never used it so unfortunately I couldn't tell you, but this might be helpful: https://service.shure.com/s/article/how-to-export-or-share-recordings-from-the-motiv-app?language=en_US - I recommend saving it to an online cloud so that you can access it from your laptop
