Sick Samurai
Louis Badalament for Voice Actor - Jones, Black American adult male
Jones is one of the leading roles, the most important character after the two main characters.
He is a retired gangster and now proprietor of a completely legitimate chain of jazz bars called Jones n’ Jazz. An old friend of Genyu’s (main character) of roughly the same age (40) and similarly orphaned beginnings, he spends all his time running his honest business and none of his time buying and selling information and illegal goods to and from interested parties.
Despite his shady dealings, he has a positive, jovial attitude and a good sense of humor, so much so that one might never imagine him as a criminal. He thinks harming innocent people is in bad taste and looks fondly on the common man, but other than that, there are no rules and it’s all part of the game. He has no political or ideological motivations; his only interest is in doing whatever it takes to survive and enjoy life. He always seems to be in a good mood, and grows upset only when somebody tries to push him on something serious and personal to him. It is easy to mistake him for a simple man, but he is in fact deceptively observant, intelligent, and a natural-born engineer.
Deep, warm, relaxed, aged voice - think a softer and more urban version of Barry White.

[Half joking, half serious] Listen my man, let me give you one piece of advice. Genyu here doesn’t help people unless it helps him. Whatever you do, just be sure it’s ‘cause you wanna do it.
[Laughing, nostalgic] Man, when my boys first told me you reached out, I thought somebody was playin’ a trick on us... how you been?
[Playing dumb, pretending like he doesn't recognize an old friend with messy hair] My apologies gentlemen, how may I help you? You lookin’ for a barber?
