After returning from her trip to Kanto, Lillie reunited with Selene and spent plenty of time with her childhood friend; while she never truly warmed up to participating in Pokémon battles herself, Lillie found great interest in helping injured or displaced Pokémon back to health. In adulthood, she studied Pokémon ecology and works to aid Pokémon all over Alola-on her own terms, rather than on the Aether Foundation's. She now introduces herself as "Lillian," but she likes when her friends (and wife) call her "Lillie." Nowadays, her field work keeps her plenty busy, and she helps the Pokémon Association keep track of the climate and preserve the Pokémon habitats in Alola.
