Eat Your Heart Out - Animated Thesis Film
Chloë Elmore for Rosie
Supporting Role
-19 lines, 156 words
-not included are sound effects such as gasping, panting, kissing, laughing
-retakes or additional recordings may be requested as production progresses, although it is not expected
Rosie is a happy-go-lucky woman in her late 20s. As opposed to her coworker and the main character of the film, Chester, she is very comfortable in her own skin and boasts a lot of confidence. She is mature compared to her coworker and is quite protective of her.
In the animatic I performed Rosie's voice in a slightly British accent, so that may be preferred for this role as it's how I hear her in my head, however this is not set in stone and other accents will still be considered.
Audition lines
Please submit 5 takes of each line as .mp3 or .wav files
Only high quality recordings will be considered
#1: “Well, just between you and me, I may have spat in their drinks as a little payback.”
Context: Rosie and Chester are discussing a set of unpleasant customers from earlier in the day.
Notes: Playful, jokey, bantering, sly, mischievous, cheeky.
#2: “No, no, why would it be a stupid question?”
Context: Chester's heart tremors forced her to ask out Rosie, which she quickly tried to take back, implying it was stupid thing to ask. Rosie is a little worried as to why she would think this, as she's actually interested.
Notes: Worried, a little sad, curious, trying to deescalate a potentially uncomfortable moment for Chester, soft in tone.
#3: “Woah, if you’re still not sure about this, we can totally stop.”
Context: Rosie was undressing Chester in the bedroom. Chester just pulled her shirt back down in a panic and Rosie is caught off guard by this, worried she crossed some kind of boundary.
Notes: Slightly panicked and worried, but still reassuring.
