As with the seer - there is the possibility this will develop into a larger role. The negotiator, in addition to being the leader of the group of pilgrims in more immediate matters, is also the romantic partner of a main character, Long-Arm, the group's cook and enforcer.

  • Hold! There are but 6 of us, as you can see. We mean you no harm, and merely wish safe passage through to the roiling lake.

  • *annoyed grunt* That's the second night in a row you've burnt the stew. If I didn't love you as much as I did, I'd say I regretted casting the deciding vote to elect you as our cook.

  • And this is why, sometimes, I need to make a terrible choice. For us, and for them.
