Project: Vigilante
Robert J. Butcher VO for Jack of Spades Pierce
Vocal Profile: baritone to bass range; moody, plenty of slang, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity you name it; no preference for accents, feel free to experiment
Character Profile: aged 22/23; recently appointed Jack of Spades by Rai for whom he has deep respect; strangely insecure about his place in The Spades so will often go out of his way to ensure none question their strength; a competent brawny school dropout.

[thoughtful] The Spades...are my home. It's my job to make sure everything remains in order, because no one wants a dumpster of a home.
[annoyed] You know, there's a word for people like you. It's [insert a string of profanities]. Yeah, one word, look it up.
[monologue] I'm the Jack of Spades, I'm here because I serve a purpose. I make sure those Diamond idiots don't get too cocky and keep things in check when Alvah's too busy baby sitting that pest or Rai is out on actual jobs. Why are you here? Don't tell me trash-talking is all you're good at. [sigh] Grab a bat, we're going to learn some basics. And for future reference, if I catch your ugly face trash talking Raijun or The Spades, expect a knife through your neck.
twatwaffle is so funny and extra, love it!
Haha thank you!
The gruffness in your voice is much more suitable for this character and I'm really glad you auditioned, the insults were hilarious! Just be mindful of your inflections, especially if you want to convey certain emotions - I felt you wavering a lot in the monologue and I wasn't sure which direction you wanted to take the character in. This also affects your pacing which were better in the other auditions so I know you can definitely do better here. Maybe if you read the lines again you'd find yourself in the character's zone. Thank you for the audition!
Fair enough xD I'll definitely give this a redo at some point soon, unless you've chosen someone else. Either way, thank you for your time and for commenting with some feedback.
