Mare in the Grass
CarpyDiem for Mary
Mary is a lead role in this film, starring as the conniving 12 year old with a plan. She knows what she wants and how to get it. She is often not taken seriously because of her sweet-looking, non-threatening outward appearance.
Looking for a tween-teen girl voice with a valley girl accent (a bit of vocal fry, says "like" more often than necessary, can speak a bit fast). The voice can lean into the stereotypical cartoon teen girl voice, but not so high pitched that it sounds unrealistic.

Please use high quality microphones when you record. If selected for the role you will record your lines with the other voice actors over zoom to achieve a very natural/conversational reading. After recording please send me your files as a wav, mp4, or mp3 so I can use them in Adobe Audition.

Shhh! Shut up! Shut up! Bryce cannot win. Pfft could you imagine?? Ya, no.Field trips are, like, sacred or whatever.
My plan will work. I just need to know if you guys are in.
Oh I already asked the impression kid to do an impression of an audience member.
Hi! Your slight slurring of words and emphasis on certain words as you read Mary's lines is amazing. You really capture the valley girl energy of her character. It would be great to hear some laughter/snickering incorporated in her lines. For example when she says "could you imagine?" it would be great to hear her say it as if the situation is so far fetched that she finds it funny. That sort of tone could be incorporated in other areas as well. I would love to hear your take on that!
Sorry for the late reply! hurricane things, yanno how it do. I can get another recording done by tomorrow afternoon (est)!
