Project: Vigilante
Adam C for The Villain
Significant character with time skip appearance
Vocal profile: tenor to bass range; variable tone including casual, intimidating, maniacal and playful, unrefined and rough with some profanities in his speech; light British accent is preferred but not mandatory (I'd be interested in hearing a variety of accents for this role so do experiment!)
Character Profile: the nefarious villain of the plot and the second biggest cliche; has a twisted sense of humour and dutifulness; not much is known about him, other than the fact that he seems to be able to control people somehow
Due to the nature of this character, I may cast 2 voices for him to portray his manic personality but this isn't set in stone. Feel free to take creative liberties with the lines!

[playful] I'm so glad you could join me on my little stage! Let's have some fun, shall we?
[threatening] Had I known you were stubborn, I'd have harvested your brain first. [chuckles] But I enjoy the struggle.
[monologue] Who am I? [manic laugh] Why, I'm your ticket to Heaven! I am Angel, God's messenger, here to grant you redemption. All you need is to do what I say, and your place in paradise is certainly guaranteed. Wouldn't you like that? Yes, of course you would. Then what are you waiting for? Go, simpleton, wreak havoc, and let the little protagonist know I sent you.
With the accent, your pitch seems to go up and make the villain seem like he shrank which was interesting to listen to haha, unfortunately not the effect I was going for with this character. I'm unsure if it was also due to the accent but your emotive tones seem weaker in the first take. You maintained good pacing and emphasis placement regardless, in your second take too where the laughs sounded more natural. The overall manic tone isn't present in either takes, perhaps due to the weak emotive tones but they're better in your other audition for Detective, so if you want to, you could submit another audition. I'd also be interested in hearing an audition for Alvah from you (with and without accent, just mind the pitch!), again only if you wanted. Either way, thank you for auditioning!
Thank you for the critiques on this one. I may try to give this one another shot if time allows prior to the deadline.
