This description of the character comes from that document:

James Alviston is the founder and Director of Gravia Technologies. He’s a visionary scientist who discovered/invented the technology to create and control Rifts, which are like small black holes. He’s exceptionally competent, but without any apparent arrogance or contempt.

Alviston is very hands-on with the technology, but he also cares deeply about all of the people working at the facility. He’s protective, fatherly, and warm-hearted. But he also has his own personal goals and agenda, which may end up being at odds with the safety of those around him…

Alviston doesn’t have any specific accent, but his voice is commanding and strong, inspiring, but kind. I'm most inclined to deeper voices, with a definite sense of Alviston's somewhat advanced age.

Language:
  • english
Voice description:
  • male adult

Hi Kaynigo. Thanks for your audition. Casting is open until September 5, so I'll be holding off on any final decisions until then. But I'll let everyone know one way or the other once I've decided.

Oh yeah, one small thing: I noticed that the audition you uploaded was only coming through on the left audio channel. No need to rerecord it or anything, but I thought you might just want to know for future recordings.

Thanks for the heads up! When I listened back it was fine so the exporting must have focused it into a single channel. Odd but I'll check my software.

I'm sorry to have to say that I'm unable to offer you the role of Alviston in my game. In total, I heard over 60 auditions, so narrowing it down to just a single actor was difficult. I do appreciate the time you took sending in your audition, and I'm sorry it didn't turn out differently. Best of luck in your future roles.
