Angelica is a former police negotiator who is recovering from being shot by her fiancé. While she is frustrated with her fiancé for shooting her rather than talking through their issues, her concerns are more about their daughter, who she hopes is safe. 

In spite of this, she is rather nonchalant and does her best to keep up her poker face. She still loves her fiancé despite what he did, but also can't help but feel a little bitter. She wasn't expecting to be taking a secret to the grave, but she did since he felt it was important enough to cost her life.
