This character is a Scientist that is a sweetheart outside of his work. He wants to do right by people and is an animal lover. However, like many fictional scientists, he sometimes gets a bit too into his work and it leads to some unforeseen and tragic circumstances. In most of our lines, he's gonna be under a lot of stress. I need an actor who has some real range, able to be jubilant as well as crestfallen. The Scientist is physically imagined as a heavyset middle-aged black man. Neil DeGrasse Tyson would be a good jumping off point, but we're looking for vibes - not a voice match. The role will require some screaming and recording quality is going to be paramount for that reason. More exact details of the character will be freely given to the VA once cast. The script will be approximately 50 lines, with a flat rate of $150. This project has a tight turnaround time, please only audition if you're able to record your lines by Monday 8/26. We are only considering POC actors for this role.
