Barbara Gordon was once just a geek serving as a consultant technician for the GCPD. But everything changed the day met the masked vigilante known as "The Batman". Weilding deep admiration for the revolutionary war he reigned on crime in Gotham she sought to join his crusade believing her skills and effort could be put to better use by his side. Managing to seek him out she was eventually able to convince him. Partly due to the close partnership he held with her Father "Jim Gordon". And because his last sidekick "Nightwing/Dick Grayson" has since parted ways and set up his own operation in Blüdhaven (Gotham's sister city). That she could be a worthy partner in crime under his wing, and as such. Batgirl was born.
Having met Dick Grayson several times during her time as Batgirl she began to grow very fond of him and roots of a romantic relationship began to sow. Spending several years by his side Batgirl eventually reached a crossroads after an incident with the "Mad Hatter" the event left her scared and unable to work effectively with Batman anymore and so like Nightwing before her she moved to Blüdhaven and joined forces with Dick Grayson with the seeds of there romance blooming soon after and a relationship forming between them.
Personality and Characteristics -
Barabra is someone who deeply cares about those she loves particularly her Father Jim Gordon and boyfriend Dick Grayson.
Like everyone in the BatFamily Barbara is incredibly motivated by Justice and a desire to protect people from the horrors of the criminal element. But much like Dick before her she was never able to commit to the brutal and often relentless nature in which Batman conducted his crusade. Believing it to be a line he treaded to often. Preferring to adopt a more passive yet effective method of crime fighting.
Her voice is often decisive and intelligent yet always carrying an undercurrent of careing and compassion even towards those who may not be deserving of it.

(Normal tone) I've been thinking, maybe we should pay Jason a vist soon? You've seen how worn down he's looked the last while. Bruce seems to be going really hard with his training. And we both know what that was like even with Alfred for support. He could do with speaking to someone that isn't a full time inhabitant of the cave is all I'm saying.
(Sombre tone) I'm worried Dick. I've never seen Bruce like this before. I don't know it feel like for the first time in his life he might be. Scared.
