Twisted Tales
Ualty for Other Roles
I'm hoping to find people with range that can perform as different types of characters in future episodes (or even in this one as it develops with potential for more characters). Show me what you can do! Show me why YOU stand out! Introduce yourself, improv, show me your range! Feel free to use the lines below as a rough template or upload a sample or demo.
Introduce yourself! What's your name? Why are you a voice actor and what's special about that to you? What uniqueness do you bring to Voice Acting? Anything else?
*Improv coming home after a long day to the love of your life greeting you with a warm smile*
*Improv being angry at someone that has just turned your last 4 hours of hard work into a waste*
Hi Ualty, thanks for auditioning. Gonna leave the requested feedback on this one as it was my fav. Right away, you seem really fun to work with! Like I could totally see us bouncing around ideas for fun characters. I also really liked the humanizations for Charlie. They felt very childlike, and not many people get that right. Well done! While I unfortunately don't think it sounded like a young child, you behaved like a young child and that's at least half of what makes the character sound like the character. Well done. For your narration (and sprinkled elsewhere, but I noticed it the most in your first narration take) be conscious of your breath control. It sounds like you're pushing out so much air, and you can hear these heavy exhales that blend with the last word of a sentence. Those types of breaths are really difficult (or impossible) for editing because of how they blend with the word. The less editing required, the better. I know it should be more of a gentle pull from the diaphragm rather than a forceful push of breath through the throat. Last two things are to make sure you cut out that silence at the beginning of auditions. Get right to it! I don't mind personally. I always found it pretentious for some CDs to say things like "respect my time, don't make me wait." Like chill. You're not off to feed the king. You're human just like us and we put time and effort into these auditions. Stop making excuses to be lazy and move your mouse an inch to the right, then press play. Some people really will just skip you though if you haven't started speaking after a second, so delete those intro gaps! Last thing is that I really wanted to get to know you as well before these other role characters you became. Right away when you were introducing yourself, it sounded rehearsed or read off of a script. That was then confirmed when you repeated the same thing in the next character's voice before the next bit. Drop that. Just talk to me! I want to get to know you because you seem so fun to work with! Show me that natural side without even thinking about the mic. Thanks for putting so much effort into these auditions. Cheers.
Howdy!I've absolutely gotta keep at it with the voices, as I'm absolutely not pro material. Although, great people like you make it just that bit easier with your advice, and I cannot thank you more!I'll be more careful with my breathing, and hold throw in a little extra personality before diving into future reads.I'm always open to chatting about ideas, which is amazing to hear you can see that :)And of course, I appreciate you being so thorough!
Hello! Sorry to do a copy and paste here, but I have a bunch of lovely VAs to get through. If you're seeing this, you're one of my favorites that I unfortunately don't have room for just yet. But I'd like to do more episodes if this one goes well, and I'd love to add you to the pool of people that I can call on in the future. If you'd like to be open for later episodes, please let me know the best way to contact you either here in the comments or through DMs. If you decide to do a DM, please just comment that you've DM'd me so that when I'm going through my shortlist here in the future, I know to hunt you down in DMs.
No worries! I would love to. Just dm me on CCC or 'ualty' on Discord if you ever need a helping hand! :)
