Twisted Tales
EddyRaaz for Other Roles
I'm hoping to find people with range that can perform as different types of characters in future episodes (or even in this one as it develops with potential for more characters). Show me what you can do! Show me why YOU stand out! Introduce yourself, improv, show me your range! Feel free to use the lines below as a rough template or upload a sample or demo.
Introduce yourself! What's your name? Why are you a voice actor and what's special about that to you? What uniqueness do you bring to Voice Acting? Anything else?
*Improv coming home after a long day to the love of your life greeting you with a warm smile*
*Improv being angry at someone that has just turned your last 4 hours of hard work into a waste*
Eddy! Thanks for auditioning! You're fantastic! There's so many good things to say from your ability to have fun, to the way you let go, and how you don't hold back from feeling a character's anger! Brilliant. Honestly your only issues are technical. Always check an audition before submitting. On both of your submissions, the audio is way too quiet. You can hear that specifically if you go from yours to anyone else's without adjusting the volume. That's just a matter of bumping up your gain. Definitely not a projection problem! You've got that covered! Find a good average db measure that works for you. For me, I tend to have high dynamic range, so I try to have my gain set so that I'm averaging between -20 and -12ish db. That might be low for some people, but it gives me more room to get louder without peaking. I know some people swear by averaging -6db. That's cutting it way too close in my opinion but again, my vocal style tends to have a much higher than average dynamic range. Last thing is that for voice acting, you ALWAYS want to be recording in mono. It sounds like you were recording in stereo (2 channels). This means that while I'm wearing my headphones, I can only hear you through my left speaker. The right one is silent. Genuinely, only technical problems here. I really enjoyed your auditions and feeling like you were letting me get to know YOU.
Thank you for the advice. I'm still learning how to use this audiobox (PreSonus Audiobox iTwo) but I will be sure to figure it out for any future recordings!
Hello! Sorry to do a copy and paste here, but I have a bunch of lovely VAs to get through. If you're seeing this, you're one of my favorites that I unfortunately don't have room for just yet. But I'd like to do more episodes if this one goes well, and I'd love to add you to the pool of people that I can call on in the future. If you'd like to be open for later episodes, please let me know the best way to contact you either here in the comments or through DMs. If you decide to do a DM, please just comment that you've DM'd me so that when I'm going through my shortlist here in the future, I know to hunt you down in DMs.
Look in your DMs!
