Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, shares a similar origin to Superman. She was born on the planet Krypton and sent to Earth by her parents to safeguard her from Krypton's destruction and protect her cousin, Kal-El. However, her spacecraft was knocked off course, causing her to arrive on Earth later than her cousins. As a result, when she finally lands on Earth, Kal-El has already grown up and become Superman. Kara is adopted by the Danvers family and takes the name Kara Danvers while trying to blend in with humans and discover her powers, and eventually, she embraces her identity as Supergirl and becomes a hero in her own right, working alongside Superman in the pursuit of justice. When she and Kal found out about their uncle Nim-El and his son Josh-El, Kara took the initial liberty of training Josh-El with help from Kal-El from time to time, and discover his affiliation with Kryptonian Magic in the process. When Kal-El goes off the planet with the Justice League to fight Brainiac and Darkseid in the war, she takes over the title of Metropolis’s primary protector in his absence. Other responsibilities during this time included furthering the training of Josh-El and occasionally checking in with her cousin, Kal-El’s  sons, Jordan and Jonathan Kent.
