Melodrius [Meh-Low-Dree-Uhs] is the demon that lives within The Lute. He was trapped in the lute via a curse many hundreds of years ago. He does not have the power to enact his powers on anyone alone. He must be played in lute form to enact any of his powers. He is manipulative of Gil, trying to get Gil to play The Lute in front of as many people as possible. Melodrius gains more power the more people hear him. He is arrogant, apathetic to mortals, and bitter about his circumstance.

Aside from Gil, Melodrius has the most speaking lines of any character in the game, somewhere over 300 lines. The game is still being written, so therefore there might be more, but each line will be paid out at $1 per line. Please only apply if you are willing to be part of a long-term project. If you have read this far, we will know you are serious about the part if you end your recording by saying your name, followed by "and I am Melodrius" in your character voice. If you don't include this, we will know that you didn't read this. The importance of this character necessitates that the person applying is able to follow direction. VOICE NOTES: Melodrius should sound distinct from every other character in the game. Go for something regal, deep, intimidating, sarcastic, and/or just interesting. He should be confident, but remember, he is trapped inside of a lute, so he is powerless. Try to play it that way.
