Ethan grew up in a rough neighborhood in a mid-sized city during the 1980s. His parents were young when they had him, and their rocky relationship set the stage for a turbulent childhood. His father, a factory worker, was often absent, working long hours or spending his evenings at the local bar. His mother, struggling with her own issues, fluctuated between being overprotective and neglectful. Ethan learned early on to fend for himself, developing a tough exterior to cope with his unstable home life. When Ethan was 16 he met his now best friend Marcus who relates to him the most out of all of his friends
