Session 1
Regina for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
You kick off with great energy, setting a positive tone immediately. However, as the read progresses, this initial vigor seems to wane a bit. Your pronunciation and enunciation are strong at first, clearly and crisply delivered, but these qualities begin to diminish around the halfway mark, possibly because you start to sound tired. This fatigue seems to affect your clarity as some plosives are being caught by your mic, indicating maybe too close a proximity or a need for better pop filtering. This is a minor issue, however.
Your breath control mirrors this pattern: it starts off well, supporting your delivery efficiently, but then it begins to falter, leading to pauses mid-sentence, which can disrupt the flow and engagement of your performance. The main thing I want to focus on is the projection; when I close my eyes, I don't believe you in a gym full of people. It does feel like you are speaking to someone, and you are not just reading from the script, which is good, but imagine having that same conversation when you're at a very loud cookout, so you have to project your voice more. Focusing on maintaining consistent energy and breath control throughout the entire read will enhance the clarity and impact of your delivery and keep the audience engaged from start to finish. Try to manage your energy and breath so that they last as effectively in the second half of your read as they do in the first.
This is great feedback, thank you!!
