In the 1930s, college student Jay Garrick transformed into The Flash after a lab accident involving heavy water vapors. He joined the Justice Society of America during WWII, using super speed to fight villains. Jay became a respected leader with a paternal and heroic aura, reflecting the wisdom gained from wartime challenges.
