An agent of the Imperial Security Bureau born on Chandrila, he serves as second-in-command to his older sister, Hael. Together they lead a small squad of field agents that are deployed to neutralize suspected terror groups, collect intelligence on cells that may be linked to each other, interrogate prisoners that harbor such information and ensure that the galaxy is secured through "healthcare provision". Despite the importance of their work, Farden and Hael tend to take jabs at each other now and again. However, he treats his sister with respect and refers to her as ma'am while on-duty.
