Paper Mario: The Rise of Voldemort (Casting for Chapters 5 and 6)
Devonmann for Snowman Sam
Why is the snowman from the Rankin Bass Rudolph short here? Does he have any bearing on the story? What's his lore significance? Answer? None whatsoever. He is a joke character who shows up to set the stage of chapter 6. It gets dark, so we need a little humor here and there.
Voice Direction:
Something similar to Burl Ives' voice.
- male adult
- celebrity impressions
If I ever live to be 100, I’ll never forget the day Mario, Batman, Ochaco, Squidward, Olaf and Malfoy defeated King Boo and lifted the curse he placed on that ruined city. But of course, that was only chapter 5 of this epic tale. Now it’s chapter 6, and the gang is on their way to Progress City. Ah, Progress City, a beautiful beacon of hope and new opportunities…of course, when it isn’t being ruled by that evil robot GLaDOS. (shutter) brrrr. She is one nasty machine.
What’s that you say? Who am I? Well I’m Snowman Sam. You remember me from Christmas Town where I told the story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I bet you are wondering what I’m doing here and what my significance in this story is? Well, let me tell you. You see, every year, the network broadcasts the Rudolph cartoon on the television, and every year I get myself a nice fat check in the mail. And every year I blow said check on poker and hookers. So I gotta find a way to make some quick cash to keep myself afloat before the holidays. As you can see, I’m out here in the wilderness hunting some endangered species to sell on the black market. Like so...
(chuckles) Ha ha ha, oh that brooding hedgehog. Always so quick to judge. Can’t blame him. If I was in his position, I’d react the same way. But what Shadow DIDN’T know was that Hermione had another opponent to deal with…Dark Hermione…The veil has done terrible things to her mind…twisting and contorting it like it’s play-dough. But thanks to Ochaco Uruaka’s kindness, Hermione is starting to take form once again.
