We're looking for a chill, almost anime in nature, type of voice for Dirk. Something that is both low and warm.
When the chips are down, I guess that’s how much of a team player I really am.
Sometimes I look back on stuff and think I might have essentially bullied him into a relationship with me. Actually, it’s more complicated than that. Parts of me were operating independently from myself. So it’s like I was bullying myself into bullying him into liking me. If that makes sense.
This is the kind of voice I want on an audio book.....

Me too! That's why I always do my best when I do auditions here :3 and yeah, my voice has a weird accent but sometimes it helps me lol
My voice has a weirder accent, so I'm a might 'eh' on voice acting. But if I learn different voices then I can stop using my real voice to embarrass myself!
Well you know, the thing about having an accent is: if you actually know how to use your voice, it actually may help you, giving some effort to the character's voice! So you basically make your "cons" into pros. And also, always use your voice if they don't require some weird pitches, trust me it's better, don't be ashamed of what you've got ^_^
My voice is a combination of my Scottish accent mixed with some posh stuff. I'm sure it's good for something, but I have no idea
Try to look up for many different auditions instead of one or two categories, you can find a lot of stuff that would let you pass for your fantastic accent. The secret is all in the conficende of your voice and how to use it.
I can't just audition yet! I need some kind of voice prep and a good mic first!!
