Well sounding like "boring regular commercial va's" is also a good thing. It shows youget it. And while some of this is narrow in showing you off, you are still showing up. Major shifts happen when it gets easier to replicate talking TO someone as if they're right there, when we are merely acting. But it gets better with practice and this is good practice. Focussing on the listener and trying to REACT to how it feels to say this, how you imagine they are reacting (body language, energy, connection etc) will make it that much more believable that it's happening live right now.
