Dawn used to be human, until she was turned into a wraith by the mysterious masterminds of the Liminal Spaces who's identity is not revealed yet.
As Dawn was a long time infected individual towards the leaking and infectious virus, And a puppet with no self control other than cannibalism..with no track of time, just like everyone else who is infected.
Now, she wanders towards the Liminal Spaces..looking for someone. someone for her to try and warn about on what's happening.
Maybe even trying to find someone who can help her, and everyone else.
