Dragon Ball Super: Broly Abridged
Matt Hammond for Paragus
DESCRIPTION
Paragus is the father of Broly and the secondary antagonist
PERSONALITY
Paragus, accompanying his son Broly, initially displayed love and ambition for him, confronting King Vegeta and abandoning Planet Vegeta to save Broly from banishment. Removing Broly's tail out of concern for control issues, Paragus' feelings shifted over time. Trapped on Vampa, his ambition turned to revenge on King Vegeta, overshadowing his care for Broly. Training him relentlessly for vengeance, Paragus showed little regard for others' lives, killing Beets without hesitation. Despite teaching manners, he sabotaged Broly's friendships to enforce training. Controlling and isolating his son, Paragus viewed Cheelai as a bad influence. In moments of despair, he feared Broly's danger and pleaded for Frieza to save him. Unlike his counterpart, Paragus begged for Broly's salvation when freed from restraints. Despite questionable methods, Paragus proved a competent teacher, shaping Broly into a formidable fighter noted by Vegeta.Goku is a pacifist at heart, sparing enemies and believing in their capacity for change. He possesses no negative feelings, is loyal to friends and family, and is willing to sacrifice himself for others. Goku's love of food, combat, and challenges is notable, and he has a special effect on people, inspiring them to change for the better. His lack of education and emotional maturity leads to naivety, but he is perceptive and intuitive in battle. Goku's love for his family is evident, though his focus on fighting can strain relationships. His ambition for the new generation stems from a concern that they become stronger to protect the Earth.

That is a fate meant for a lower-class warrior, not my son.
I swear you will pay, Vegeta! Dearly!
The sins of your father are on your head, Prince!
