Marcello is a male but as he is a small Tanuki his voice can be either gender, so long as the voice sounds like a young boy.
Marcello tries to act brave and tough, he likes to think of himself as a warrior so honour means a lot to him, but his young and inexperienced so he struggles keeping up the tough act. Marcello is foolish and naive, he is a bit high and mighty but is easily discouraged when things seem too much for him to handle.
(Also don't worry the Tanuki in my story use leafs to transform)
You there! I have heard rumours of a great and powerful tanuki who is able to transform without using a leaf!
My name is Marcello! I am a great and powerful warrior from my tribe, one day I will rule over the Tanuki islands and lead them to glory!
N-No way! I thought you were a tanuki... Y-You lied to me! Waaaah!! You guys are liars! (Sniffling)
