An ancient Owl who lived many centuries ago, when Owl technology and culture was at its peak. Otus encounters Aegolius via a hologram recording found in the Eternal Sanctuary, a secret area found late in the game. Aegolius was famed for his technological genius, developing many marvelous inventions. He was also known for his extremely close bond with Noctae, perhaps the only other owl of his time whose genius may have matched his own.

Scraps of writings found throughout the game hint that his final invention may have been at least partially responsible for the downfall of Owl culture in the centuries that followed.

Voice guidelines: Normally, Aegolius would sound dignified and educated, much like his peers. However, in his recorded message in the Eternal Sanctuary, he is in a state of shame, worry, and desperation.
