Vincent Phantomhive is a side character in the manga of black butler. He is Ciel's over confident, charismatic, flirty father, who is always down to make a dirty joke or flex his incredible wealth and status. He's casual, doesn't really plan ahead, and seriousness is an odd mask for him to wear.
This is a story where Vincent, instead of being brutally killed as he is in the manga, is revived through supernatural means. Not only have his two sons been captured by a horrible cult, he's now the only thing left to save them. His flippant demeanor must be dropped...but the mask is pretty well glued to his face, and surviving death does something to a man's ego.
