Saeran is the mysterious caller that the RFA attempts to hunt down throughout the various routes. Despite this, he sees himself as angel that will lead the RFA and the player to salvation through Rika's shady organization, Mint Eye. As a child, he was a kind and gentle soul despite the trauma inflicted by his abusive family. He is manipulated by Rika into seeking revenge against his brother, 707, who she convinced abandoned him in his time of need when they were children. Like his brother, he is incredibly intelligent and a phenomenal hacker. He also harbors anger for V, who he views as a traitor and a hypocrite.

In his route, the protagonist becomes the major focus of Ray who's obsessed with keeping them by his side. He tries to trick the protagonist into thinking the RFA members are AIs programmed by himself and incites her into making them reveal their secrets. He has a welcoming and charming demeanor towards her and is very open about showing affection. He loves gardening and knows the symbolic meaning of each flower. He also enjoys cooking. 

Later, it's revealed Ray is an alternate personality, created by Rika during Mint Eye's cleansing program. The other personality, Saeran, is very aggressive, arrogant and demeaning; the complete opposite of the old Saeran's delicate and gentle self before his induction to Mint Eye. This Saeran also has no qualms about being a brute to V and other believers, forcing them to drink a strange elixir and openly degrading the protagonist with insults and ridicule. In his own route, he even resorts to starving them (reminiscent of his own mother's torture).

In the good ending, Saeran escapes from Mint Eye with the protagonist. His demeanor changes to better resemble his original self, prior to Rika's involvement. He sees the protagonist as his salvation and guiding light and stubbornly wants to do what it takes to sacrifice himself for her (and by extension, his brother). In bad ends, it's shown he easily puts her own happiness above his to the point he foregoes his own wishes and wellbeing to make her happy. He eventually reunites with his brother, 707, claiming he always nurtured affection for him in the corner of his heart even when he was blinded by rage due to Rika's lies.

Voice Quality: Medium-pitched. Able to swap between a gentle voice and a more aggressive tone.
