Job Description:

As a Kids Cartoon Background Artist, you will play a crucial role in creating the visually stunning and immersive environments that serve as the backdrop for our animated episode. Working closely with the art director and animation team, you will contribute your artistic talents to bring our imaginative world to life.

Responsibilities:

1. Create Concept Art:

   • Develop concept art for backgrounds that align with the overall visual style and theme of the animated episode.
   • Work collaboratively with other team members to establish the artistic direction.

2. Design Environments:

   • Design and illustrate captivating and age-appropriate environments that enhance the storytelling experience for children.
   • Consider the needs of animation and ensure backgrounds are conducive to fluid animation sequences.

3. Color and Lighting:

   • Apply color theory and lighting techniques to create visually appealing and dynamic backgrounds.
   • Ensure consistency in color schemes and lighting throughout the series.

4. Collaborate with Animation Team:

   • Work closely with animators to ensure that backgrounds seamlessly integrate with character animation.
   • Provide necessary assets and guidance to support animation continuity.

5. Revise and Refine:

   • Accept feedback from the team and make necessary revisions to enhance the overall visual quality of backgrounds.
   • Meet project deadlines and manage time effectively.

Qualifications:

1. Portfolio:

   • A strong portfolio showcasing your background art, concept art, and design skills.
   • Previous experience as a background artist for animated series or similar projects is a plus.

2. Artistic Skills:

   • Proficiency in digital illustration and painting software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator).
   • Strong understanding of composition, perspective, and color theory.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Ability to collaborate effectively with the animators, and other team members.
   • Strong communication skills to convey artistic ideas and receive feedback.
