Peter Griffin is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the American animated sitcom Family Guy. He is voiced by the series' creator, Seth MacFarlane, and first appeared on television, along with the rest of the Griffin family. He's bumbling and uncouth, but generally well-intentioned. Peter does have a nasty streak every now and then. But most often the joke is on Peter, even when he thinks it's not.
