I don't have any formal training in writing, most of my experience is in helping others write their stories. Well, that and character writing.I ensure the dialogue is consistent, keep an eye out for plot holes, and ensure that the story doesn't fly off the rails into insanity. As fun as it would be, it's not very good for a historical fiction to suddenly have magic and flying cars. If you know what I mean.
