Ok, so I had a difficult time trying NOT to be too announcer-y, but the script seemed to pull that out of me. I feel like I had the right energy, but really need to focus on NOT getting above my voice and craft more places to breath so that I'm not out of breath, pushing my throat to the edge. I also see that there are spots in which I needed to speed up the transitions between sentences. Speed, breath, articulation as well as getting the message across are all weaknesses that I'm still trying to sort out.

These scripts definitely pull that "announcer energy" out at full-tilt! I think you did great!

I agree that you sound a little announcer-y, but with how the script is written, I also found it hard not to go in that direction. The pauses in some spots were a little bit too long, but you already noted that. Most of your words were very clear, though "February 8th" seemed to be a bit difficult to pronounce and keep in the same tone and pacing as the rest of the read. Overall though, I think you did great!

Thanks for the comments, Squirtle! I def slipped over "February 8th" for sure!

Great self critique. A bit high/pinched, and gets some wet areas. This is a very announcer-y script. Hard to bring down and make more conversational for some of us, but a good exercise. Breathing on or off words, you deserve to have it and be able to include breathing so that you feel strong throughout. Nice job.
