A guard of Vellie's defense force that watches over the upper gate to the village. He refuses to allow Otus through the gate to Tropos, until after the initial pirate raid on Vellie, when Asio tasks Otus with going to the Owl Temple to activate its defenses.
Voice guidelines: Open to interpretation, though it should sound at least appropriately serious for his position as a town guard.

Are you the troublemaker that’s been lurking around town, Otus? You sure look like a troublemaker to me.
For someone as strict as Asio, he sure lets you off easy.
