While he doesn't initially appear to be much more than friendly and easygoing, Q-taro can be selfish and interested in his own survival over most other things in the Death Game. He is also very anxious about many situations in the Death Game. Despite all of this, however, Q-taro has demonstrated a capacity for self-reflection and remorse. He expresses shame at his selfishness and anxiety, calling himself "pathetic" while explaining himself and acting resigned when lectured for his actions.
