I think ya nailed it. The accent added to it. At 1:31, "No matter the number of years that go by..." That first part you may want to enunciate a little more. "No matter the" ran together and I didn't recognize what you were saying until I heard the rest of the sentence. Still good, and I don't know if you should really change that or leave it, since it is part of the accent.

Hi Cannon! Thank you so much for your comment! Pinpointing specific words that you couldn't hear is super helpful! I know I have an accent but can't tell how so by myself, so that's something to think about... :)

You have a gentle and heartfelt delivery that's well-suited for this script. However, to make your performance even more engaging, consider exploring a wider range of emotions. Think about how your character feels during different parts of the script. When talking about your mother not being around much, you could infuse a touch of sadness or longing into your voice. Conversely, when reminiscing about Mrs. Nillimore's wonderful cooking and her "mighty smile," let your tone become more joyful and appreciative. Additionally, you can work on varying your pacing and adding more emphasis to certain words or phrases to convey different emotional nuances. This will help create a richer and more emotionally resonant performance. Keep up the good work, and with a bit more emotional depth, your delivery will become even more compelling!

Burger, thank you so much for the detailed critique! Expressing emotions is a weakness that I'm aware of. I'll work on it. Pacing and emphasis.... I'll keep those in mind for the next round!
