Dee Bradley Baker had an exceptional voice for Curt in the “Spectacular Spider-Man” cartoon. For the Lizard? Well, put a monstrous reptile spin onto it!

CHARACTER & VOICE DESCRIPTION:

Curt Connors became a gifted surgeon who performed surgeries on those who fought in the battlefield after he enlisted in the US Army. During a tour, his arm was terribly wounded in an explosion, resulting in an amputation. Because of this, he devoted his life to trying to create a serum for regenerating lost limbs. He figured that he succeeded in his mission after he used DNA from reptiles in the serum. When Curt tested it on himself, not only did his arm regenerate, but the reptile DNA mixed with his own and transformed him into the vicious Lizard. Curt’s voice is very soft and he is very well-spoken, full of politeness and love for his family. Though, you can tell that he is hiding something from them with the fear and anxiety that fills his voice. What is he hiding? Well, the Lizard. The Lizard’s voice should be full of prolonged “s”’s with hissing, but still understandable. It should be scratchy and monstrous, and you can hear that there is no care for humanity in his voice.
