[a horribly choked & constricted squeak as he/she tugs desperately at their collar]:

[a terrible, gurgled choking sound as he/she gives a final desperate tug as their throat begins to crush. Then a gasp of relief as they are released & manage to catch their breath before continuing hoarsely]:

"It...it was nothing. A mild hoarseness. Nothing more. I warn you, do not play games with me my Lady. It will take more than a mere trick upon my vocal chords to silence me."
